Our Mission: Commitment to Connection

At The Great Mate Check-In (TGMC), we believe that genuine connection is the cornerstone of mental resilience. In a world where isolation is on the rise, we are dedicated to creating supportive, in-person spaces where conversations thrive and mates can truly check in with one another.

What We Do

1. Facilitate Real-World Connection: We host our flagship annual event—The TGMC Night-Time Panel Chat—and other community initiatives designed to break down barriers, foster vulnerability, and build strong support networks.

2. Drive Grassroots Impact with Micro-Grants: Every dollar raised goes directly into our TGMC Micro-Grants Program. This crucial initiative provides funding to local, grassroots organisations, enabling them to facilitate their own in-person connection projects and strengthen the health and resilience of our wider community.

3. Build a Sustainable Movement: We are actively formalising our structure as a Not-For-Profit (NFP) to ensure the longevity and growth of our mission, supported by dedicated Board Members, Sponsors, and Volunteers.
